Freeze-Dried Mango Powder: 100% Mango, No Carrier, Bulk and Private Label

FruitBuys supplies freeze-dried mango powder made from one ingredient: ripe Vietnamese mango (Mangifera indica L.), freeze-dried and then milled. There is no maltodextrin or other carrier and no added sugar, so your ingredient list reads “mango” and the flavor and color are not diluted. Bright golden-yellow, it tastes of ripe Mekong Delta mango, and the fruit’s own fiber gives drinks and fillings a real pulpy body that flavorings cannot copy. It ships at 3–5% moisture in 20 kg cartons for food and beverage manufacturers, and in retail pouches for private-label brands.

The powder is milled from the same freeze-dried mango we supply as slices and cubes, so one specification and one quality system cover both.

Why buyers choose freeze-dried over spray-dried mango powder

Most spray-dried mango powder needs a carrier such as maltodextrin to dry at all, and that carrier goes on your label and dilutes the fruit. Freeze-dried powder needs none. The trade-off is cost and handling: it costs more per kilogram, and with no carrier it picks up moisture faster once opened. If your brief is a low-cost flavor base for a beverage mix, our spray-dried mango powder (with maltodextrin) may fit better. The full comparison is in freeze-dried or spray-dried mango powder.

Applications

  • Smoothie, juice and beverage powder mixes: start at 5–12%
  • Yogurt, ice cream and dessert powders: 5–12%
  • White chocolate, confectionery and compound coatings: 3–8%
  • Bakery creams, fillings and frostings: 4–10%
  • Cereal and granola coatings
  • Baby and toddler puffs and melts: 5–15%, where a one-word ingredient list (“mango”) with no maltodextrin or refined sugar is the brief
  • Nutrition and supplement blends

Doses are pilot starting points; adjust for color depth and flavor in your base. Under 5% moisture, it colors and flavors white chocolate and compound coatings without thickening the mass. Add it to dry mixes last and keep it away from humid air. For recipe ideas, see freeze-dried mango powder recipes; where visible fruit pieces are needed, compare cuts in the applications guide.

  • Extended tests (pesticide multi-residue, Listeria, nutrition panel and others) arranged before stuffing on request; allow 3–5 working days
  • Facility certification: HACCP, ISO 22000, US FDA Facility Registration, BRC (qualified processing facility), HALAL

FAQ

  • Is it really 100% mango? Yes. Freeze-drying needs no carrier, so the powder is mango only. If you want an anti-caking agent, we add it on request and it appears on the specification.
  • Does it dissolve? It disperses in 30–60 seconds rather than dissolving clear like sugar, because it keeps the mango’s natural fiber. That fine fiber is what gives smoothies, yogurts and fillings an authentic pulpy body that flavorings and maltodextrin powders cannot give. We can suggest a starting dose for your base.
  • Why does it clump after opening? Without a carrier the powder pulls moisture from humid air. Open bags in a dry room, use each 5 kg bag within the shift, and keep no half-open bags in damp storage.

  • Is it ready to eat? Yes. Fruit is washed and sanitized before cutting, milled in a closed room and packed below 35% RH, with Salmonella and E. coli tested on every full container.
